Inmar Intelligence, a trusted partner in drug take-back solutions and the leader in pharmaceutical reverse distribution, will host its 10th Community Drug Take-Back Event in Winston-Salem on Saturday, April 26, in partnership with Novant Health and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
This year’s event will be held at a new location: Novant Health Robinhood Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1350 Whitaker Ridge Dr NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The drive-thru service will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and offers residents a safe, free, and anonymous way to dispose of unused or expired medications. Accepted items include prescription and over-the-counter drugs, pet medications, and sharps such as needles or injectable devices. No identification is required and no questions will be asked.
“Our Drug Take-Back events continue to provide a simple but powerful way for residents to protect their families and the environment,” said Brian Nightengale, EVP and President of Healthcare at Inmar Intelligence. “We’re especially excited to introduce this new event location in collaboration with Novant Health and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. Together, we’re bringing safer disposal options even closer to where people live and work.”
“Community health is about more than just care inside our clinics—it’s about meeting people where they are and coming together to create a safer environment for everyone,” said Sacha Pollard Deloney, Novant Health Sr. Pharmacy Director. “Hosting this take-back event at our Novant Health Robinhood Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine clinic is just one way we’re investing in the well-being of our neighbors. We’re proud to partner with Inmar and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office to make it easier for families to take a simple step that can have a lasting impact.”
In Winston-Salem alone, Inmar has helped collect more than 4,000 pounds of unused medications through its local take-back efforts. Nationally, the company has removed over 3.5 million pounds of unused drugs through its Consumer Drug Take-Back program and a network of more than 9,000 authorized take-back locations.
